Dans The Density Parameter, Mesarthim reprend tous les ingrédients qui font leur marque de fabrique : des pistes assez longues au rythme énergique (très palpable sur "Recombination" par exemple) et jouant sur des structures cycliques, un chant qui erre parmi les étoiles... Les ambiances sont prolifiques mais elles changent la donne : gracieuses, certes, mais surtout plus mélancoliques qu'autrefois. I just discovered Blackgaze last week thanks to Marunata, and I have to say Desperate Dreams gave me emotions and made me imagine things I never did before. I don't care about mixing synth/etc with metal, all I know is we are promised desperation and it delivers, unlike 99% of the other bands promising sadness, but depressing name songs aren't enough...After listening to this I just had to finally make an account, buy this, and get back to looking for gems, they still exist.
